Embodied Mastery
A multi modality somatic training that builds real facilitation skill and gives you practices you can use for life and for work.
Embodied Mastery is a somatic training designed for personal development and for professionals who want to guide deeper, more embodied experiences with confidence and care. This is ideal for yoga teachers, coaches, healers, and helping professionals of all kinds, as well as anyone who feels called to understand themselves through the body, not just the mind.
This training can be attended fully online or as a hybrid offering. When you register, everyone is registered as online so you receive recordings. You can attend the weekend intensives in person at Above Average Wellness in Edmonton, AB or on Zoom. Monday nights are online only.
Why this training exists
Embodied Mastery was born because I saw a pattern in my own education. In training after training, there was a huge overlap: holding space, guiding meditation, trauma aware language, understanding felt sense, and learning how to facilitate people through real experience. Then you would learn the modality.
Review is valuable, but after completing my somatic training I knew there was a better way than paying thousands of dollars for separate programs that repeat the same foundations.
I have invested over $16,000 in trainings across these modalities and the facilitation skills that support them. Embodied Mastery is the streamlined version I wish existed sooner: one container, multiple modalities, and the essential facilitation pieces woven throughout.
Who this is for
This training is designed for personal development and is ideal for:
- Yoga teachers who want stronger language, better cueing, and deeper classes
- Coaches and helping professionals who want practical tools for regulation and embodiment
- Healers and practitioners who want to support clients without overholding or overextending
- Anyone who wants to build emotional capacity, self awareness, and resilience through the body
What you will learn and practice
In this comprehensive training, you will explore the healing potential of somatics and learn how to integrate these practices into your own life and your professional work. We will focus on nervous system regulation and increasing your capacity to respond rather than react in times of stress.
You will explore:
- Somatic movement and healing practices. Learn how mindful movement, awareness, and sensation practices reconnect body and mind, release stored tension, and support whole person wellbeing.
- Conscious Connected Breathwork. Learn a conscious connected breathwork technique that supports emotional regulation, stress relief, deeper awareness and personal transformation. You will also learn pranayama and other breathwork practices to support somatic work
- Yoga Nidra. Experience the profound rest and healing benefits of Yoga Nidra and learn how to guide it skillfully.
- Meditation beyond the basics. Go beyond meditation as a calming tool and learn how it can support deep transformation, including how to guide meditation with somatic embodiment.
You will also gain insights into:
- The 5 Channels of Awareness
- Window of Tolerance theory and what it means for regulation and healing
- Patterns in the body mind and how thoughts, emotions, and sensations influence each other
- Somatic release and regulation techniques for yourself and for guiding others

What past students are saying
“ Work is always going to be stressful, but I’ve learned so much over the past four months about how to meet it differently. Trista’s courses have been a huge part of that shift for me. I feel more resourced, more steady, and more capable in my day to day.”
“Thank you doesn’t feel big enough for what this journey has meant to me. Embodied Mastery alongside yoga teacher training cracked me open in ways I didn’t see coming, and brought me home to parts of myself I hadn’t met before. Being part of the first round was a true gift. You have created something deeply transformative in this course and I’m honored to have been held in it.”
“Embodied Mastery gave me tools I could use immediately. I started weaving what I learned into my 1 on 1 Reiki sessions in a way that felt natural, especially the language, grounding practices, and helping people stay connected to sensation. It also changed how I teach yoga. My classes feel more embodied, more spacious, and more supportive, without needing to add anything complicated. It just made everything I already do, deeper.”
"This training was truly a game changer for me.
If you’re wanting to deepen your understanding of somatic work and embodied awareness, this is the place to do it. The depth of practical tools and nervous system-based practices is incredible. I’ve already been using what I learned — both personally and in my yoga classes — and the impact has been profound.
Trista is an amazing teacher and mentor"
